Huge figure collector here (have hundreds of them and I'm talking about actual stuff not little toys you get from Toys r Us or fucking amiibos). Anyone else mad that Senran Kagura has such great designs but gets the most shit figures? My favorite Senrans are Big O, Haruka, and Hikage but they get shit. Hikage's figure has a decent sculpt though it just looks details and was overpriced. Haruka only gets these awful awkward looking figures.
I think people really underrate the Senran Kagura designs. Yes they have huge tits, but the fucking colors and hair styles and eyes are always so beautiful. Their outfits have a ton of variety too. I could never get into DOA characters because of the art style and character models, but I love SK character models. The faces look fantastic.

Eh not really. Musou games have a very distinct feel to them. They're usually a lot more grounded than the Senran Kagura games which have you flying around doing crazy stuff. Most Musou games are deeper too. Not a lot deeper, but definitely has more complexity. SK are pretty mash-heavyh and barebones as beat em ups.

Also I wish people would get less hyped for training mode simulators like DMC and go back to Ninja Gaiden. 2 and 3 were iffy games, but Black was by far the best game of the genre, even better than Bayonetta and the DMC games. The controls and gameplay are just so tight and smooth in those games. I like the lack of huge combo emphasis; it gives it a much heavier free form feel to it that makes it feel less like Blazblue and more like actual combat.

I have this problem with DOA as well. It's like they miss the point. There should be huge variety in the heights, hip sizes, waists, ass sizes, and breast sizes so as to cater to everyone and have a lot of distinction. Instead, it's the same basic body but with slightly different skin tones and then different heads. The end result is awkward things like how Haruka is supposed to have one of the largest busts sizes yet she looks barely bigger (if even that) than most of the cast.
It's worse in DOA than in SK though. I feel like the characters in SK have a lot more personality so the differences end up shining through more.

Those are example of good contributions some feminists have made, and it has nothing to do with getting mad over something like Senran Kagura. Feminists really don't care about accounting for male thoughts, though. Also their entire structure (their definition of abuse, sexual objectification, their definition of rape, etc.) is built around men being to blame for everything, either directly or by proxy. Women being the primary holders for responsibility for both causing and fixing female problems is a foreign concept to them.
Feminism will always be about the woman's point of view. You can't fight for equality while placing one gender's point of view over another.
There might be many types of feminists, but the above tie them all together. "Rational" feminists only put a bit more effort into attempting to hide and justify their hatred of men.

The problem is when popular media like Hollywood movies fail to depict women as anything other than mandatory love interest. A good example is Other M.
