Because MM9 is better than MM1-6 (save MAYBE 3) or the X series (save MAYBE X1), and I say that as someone who grew up with the X games. MM9 is one of the few games I would consider to be nigh flawless. It's MM2 with stupid inspired level design and a virtually perfect level of challenge. The only flaw I can think of is that some of the powers are a bit OP, but even that's offset by their sheer fun factor. Most games I have played aren't as all-around excellent as MM9. I would honestly put it in my top 10 games and say unironically that it is the best Megaman game. But that's just my opinion.

To be honest I kinda liked how they handled MK8 and Hyrule Warriors. Theres a lot of content in them then more a few months down the line when you're done with it. When every game starts coming with a season pass from day one, I think I'll write them off for good, but at the moment I think they've found a sweet spot, I just hope they stick with it
