The reason there's no charger is because of a law that was passed in a region, cant remember which, which says that hand held gaming devices must all use standard mini-usb cables for charging. But nintendo found a loophole in this that they can get away with it by not including a charger.

Loading in Smash is like a 4th of what it used to. MH4 is also much faster, and runs at a constant 60 FPS rather than the 30 or whatever it ran on the OG 3DS.
