Can we have a horror vidya thread?
What have you been playing or replaying lately?
Thread theme:

I have no mouth and I must scream
How is REmake HD? I already beat it on gamecube, is there anything new or at least improved?
Which Fatal Frame should I replay?
So, bunch of /v/ dudes are gathering up to provide a spooky game marathon, game after game, throughout the coming weekend.
I'm pretty sure some of you remember our stream, in all of its different incarnations
Some of the games we are covering in the spooky marathon:
Dracula: Resurrection
Pathologic
The White Chamber
FEAR
Resident Evil Survivor
Silent Hill 2
Siren BC
Alien Isolation
Resident Evil
Silent Hill
Penumbra Overture and Black Plague
Doom 3
RE REmake
Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit
Blood Omen
White Day
...and more to come.
Five nights at Freddy's
I was thinking of replaying Bioshock, does that count?

You should play Deep Fear.
MOOOOKIEE
>>285591503
It's... iffy. Not true remaster but good enough. Better than emulated, that's for sure.
>>285590651
Recently finished Forbidden Siren 2.
Currently playing Eternal Darkness.
>>285592887
Is White Day still a pain in the arse to get working?
>>285590651
Beat Alien Isolation on Nightmare mode.
Got Resident Evil Remaster on my wishlist for whenever it goes on sale.
>>285594338
ED is overrated as shit m8
>2015
>still no proper DC2 sequel
I love these, this one in particular is brilliant.
>>285594338
Siren 2 was grand. Misplaced faces on creatures creep me the fuck out.
>>285594570
Pretty sure it is. I played it once but didnt get past the tree. Didn't click with me
This is what I was expecting from RE live action movies how tragically wrong I was
>tfwperfectly fine with horror anything except vidya
>>285598045
>having shit taste
>>285598423
Alot of games on that list are not horror though, if all it takes is "spooky" beings then you might add Gears of War,Castlevania etc...
>>285594691
Was the new alien game any good in your opinion?
>>285590651
I need a good horror PC game to play. Any recommendations?
I want to scare the pants off myself. (before I have my pre-bed wank)
REmake remastered on the PS3. It was pretty good, but I don't think I'll be doing NG+.
>>285592887
Consider adding Nosferatu: Wrath of Malachi to the list. Pretty fun FPS, the castle levels are randomly generated each playthrough, plus you need to hurry up if you want to save as many people as possible.
Beat REmake last night with Chris. I was going to ask a friend to lend me SH HD Collection but I read here that is actually terrible and now I'm not so sure.
I also want to play RE6 just to see how 'bad' it is. I'm sure that the other game modes like mercenaries can be fun.
>>285600452
Nosferatu is just a pale copy of Undying..
I just got RE: Deadly Silence, been playing that.
Pretty neat to go back to RE1, I haven't played the original since it first came out.
>>285590651
does PC REmake have te original voice acting?
I want that cheesy shit, I don't want edgy serious faggotry like the PSP remake of SotN
Just started playing Haunting Ground
Loving it, but god damn how do I get the dog to listen more.
>>285595049
My nigga, this is easily on my 3x3.

>>285592887
>those monster thumbs
Would marry but still slowly build resentment towards
>>285599990
If you want to take a risk for the team get White Night, brand new not-really-survival horror
>>285607391
>that part where he's asked to improv Mario and he starts rambling about pizza
We love you Chuck
>>285604189
You hump it to show dominance.
>>285604189
Haunting Ground was good. Really what Clock Tower 3 should have been.
I admit I enjoyed Clock Tower 3 immensely for the mess it was, though
>>285610997
I haven't played Clock Tower 3 yet because I wanna finish the other ones first
How bad is CT3 though?
>>285604189
You need to praise/scold appropriately.
>>285591193
That game was so strange, didn't really have "fun" playing it but it was so fascinating and gripping that I really wanted to suffer it through.
>>285611256
It's not a Clock Tower game at all, really.
The chapters are episodic face offs against killers which ultimately end in you transforming into a magical girl and shooting them with a magical bow and arrows.
Think that sounds shit for a Clock Tower game? You're right.
Think that sounds absolutely hilarious? Right as well.
Also the scene with the acid killer appearing the first time is a must see even if you decide to not play it
>>285611306
>scold appropriately
When is the appropriate time?
I understand you would praise him when he helps you with a puzzle and defend you, but I haven't encounter a moment where I needed to scold him.
I'm not that far into he game, so maybe I haven't gotten to a point to where I needed to scold him.
>>285592887
>that pic
>>285612064
If he doesn't listen.
Doesn't do what you tell him to do, kick his ass.
Does something good, offer up that pussy.
Jokes aside anytime he doesn't listen to you.
>>285611881
>the acid killer
That's the scene that made me want to get into the series, but god damn the first on Snes is boring as fuck
>>285612660
What this guy said. Most of the time he doesn't listen at first when you tell him to fetch an item at first.
Also, prepare you anus for the maid. She's the absolute best stalker with the best soundtrack and best everything.
>>285612837
The SNES one and the 2 ps1 ones are mostly like that, they're very puzzly and atmospheric games, kinda. In my opinion the SNES one was the best and the best recent adaption of the formula is Haunting Ground. I really didn't like the ps1 games much because they didn't look very good and had a bunch of very confusing puzzles. Clock Tower 2, which is called Ghost Head in the japanese version (Because the ps1 Clock Tower is actually Clock Tower 2), makes it very easy to get stuck.
>>285611881
> the scene with the acid killer appearing the first time
oh god, why
>>285612660
Ok I'll try this
>>285612883
I was watching some gameplay and apparently she rapes your corpseThat hotCan't wait to kick her ass too.
Also on the topic on stalkers is it best to run and hide or fight? Every time I encounter the big retard I fight him because I aint no bitch, but I feel like thats the wrong thing to do
>>285613509
"That's enough playing happy families! You make me sick!"
>>285611881
http://youtu.be/G2xG7vVy4ug?t=48s
This is the best laugh I had all week
thank you anon, I should play this sometime.
>>285613665
You are supposed to run. Some Stalkers don't really give you the choice of fighting them. The big dude is fairly easy to drive off.
Also I'm fairly certain she doesnt rape you. Actual spoilers followShe rips out your uterus because she's infertile and wants to be perfect. She's jealous of Fiona being able to have children
>>285613719
poor scarf
>>285614336
>She rips out your uterus because she's infertile and wants to be perfect. She's jealous of Fiona being able to have children
While fuck, that's some grim shit.
One think that bothers me is that the main villain wants to impregnate you, but why doesn't he stop his workers from killing you ?
