That's why. That's why I like how tiny and low energy the Wii and Wii U are. I hate the slot loading drives though. I wish they'd go back to top loading like in the old days. Just an extra mechanism for the function of inserting and ejecting discs is another component that can possibly malfunction or break.

Like the PS2, the PS3 was made with parts that Sony knows are cheap and would not last long. I eventually got over my BC PS3 dying though and got a slim recently.
