I second this, having recently played it. Every enemy is a fucking bullet sponge, and you don't get enough high powered shit and grenades to make them any easier. For a game trying so hard to be a star wars equivalent to halo, it sure fucking sucked at it.

That shit would've been fucking great, I really would've preffered it because quite frankly I'm having a hard time enjoying anything that was based on the prequel trilogy. I really want to get into Republic Commando, but every time I see a battle droid or something I start thinking about how fucking awful the prequel films were and get pissed off.

Git gud. EMP grenades and later the grenade lanucher makes super battle droids easy as fuck. Flying genosians are countered with focus fire and sniper rifles. Droidekas gets rekt with EMPs and maneuvering (running around them). Just stab the trandos and shoot the battle droids.

The romance arc wasn't too bad in the first couple of books, it kinda felt forced, yeah but there was some logic behind it. The stories really shine in the characterization of the commandos and their Mandalorian leaders.
