So I completely missed out on this series when I had a GBA.
Are these games worth emulating, /v/? Do you have any protips for me?

If you play the first one and like it, make sure you don't miss any djinn, because if you have all the djinns by the second game it unlocks a secret dungeon

Golden Sun is up there for one of the most pointless and boring JRPGs ever. Half of it is just repetitive dialogue that doesn't add to the characters, story or game itself. Aolmost as bad as Ni no Kuni or Suikoden V.

None of the 28 Djinn in the first game are missable, as you can later backtrack to any part of the map. As long as you get all of them before transferring saves to TLA, you're golden.

You can full on break the first game. Don't remember the specifics, but you had to talk to a certain guy in one of the towns to learn a skill. And then use that skill in the next area to proceed. But if you didn't talk to the guy, you wouldn't get that skill and have no way to go back to the village.
I found this bug by accident. And since I already was really annoyed by the game, I just quit. Not gonna fucking restart and watch 5 hours of dialogue again.

As far as I'm concerned it doesn't have a particularly interesting story. The battle system is also fairly boring. The music is decent, though.
I'm not actually sure why these games get so much love.

Yes, there is missable djinns and summons, like the one of the red tornado.

No they're not. They're still in the same spot. None of the djinn are missable except if you don't carry at least 6 djinn of each of the elements into your GS2 Game.
If you're missing 1 djinn of each element, the game will make them spawn at specific points in GS, but if you're missing 2 or more, you're fucked.
