They always pushed it as am ARPG over musou. The main difference I've seen is this game has an MP system and outside of the SQUAREx4Triangle etc combo system each character has special abilities tied to holdbutton+corresponding face button that uses MP.

BD just sold 1 million, X/X-2HD sold 1.8 million, X/X-2 is getting a PS4 release soon.

Well they have to make them first, Bravely Second isn't even out yet, and they are bringing over one of the most requested games that wasn't released during 7th gen first which is FF Type-0 along with an XV demo, then after that Bravely Second releases in like April which is around when we should hear of a localization announcement, and from now with the DQH stuff they just said they have some more plans for a "brighter future" for DQ and how to handle it in the west.
Theatrhythm DQ will probably come over next.

Yeah I had the same situation, but when I got overseas there was a sudden expectation to stay until your supervisor left, so you often stayed overtime. If you leave early, or on-time I guess, your co-workers would give you the stink eye. Granted, I don't work in computer engineering, and I actually don't mind it. I would say the work environment though is entirely about the group, and not you. I'm sure you'll be fine, but I would definitely expect some overtime.

Start with 3. 1 and 2 are missing a lot of things that the rest of the series had and might turn off newer players. 3 really set the standard for everything that follows.

I thought IX was good. I love it because of the class based system like three where i can pretty much 100% customize my party to my liking. The story isn't as strong, but it's all about the game play here, and it is fantastic. I just don't like the shoehorned multiplayer shit they tried to do.

Since DQXI is going to be a big-budget game, SE will want to release that in as many territories as possible. Heroes is probably the first of a bunch of DQ things coming west in an attempt to renew interest in the series. We might see some of the GB titles on the eShop, and either the VII remake or VII on PSN.
