Nintendo said a while ago that they don't care what you do with their IPs anymore as long as its not for profit.
Pretty sure Nintendo changed their copyright laws so that non-profit games can be made without their consent.

Now if it were a Square-Enix property, it would be C&D'd into oblivion even if it was a fucking fan translation or rom hack.
Some of the sprite work looks a little amateur but other than that it looks fun. Excited.
