No they aren't. There are still invisible walls. Quicksaving still drastically increases your chances of getting corrupted saves. Many quests have the chance of becoming broken and thus are unable to be completed. AI pathfinding is still a joke. If you go on the wiki, basically every page for New Vegas quests, perks, characters, and locations is filled with a list of things that can go wrong and what you can try to do to resolve it.
Like every Obsidian game, it was an absolute mess at launch and will never be anything more than a patched up mess.

Yeah, no. I was able to finish Fallout 3 when I first played it shortly after launch. It was months before I was able to finish New Vegas on account of entering that radioactive vault which turned out to be a guaranteed game freezer that you could not get out of unless you were lucky enough to have a save before you entered.
Why does nobody remember how fundamentally broken New Vegas was at launch? It was bordering on unplayable. Rome 2 was released in a better state and they have actually fixed that game now, yet still they are hounded on here while New Vegas gets away with its launch without blame.

Starts the game as a complete shitter with you, both of you grow into badasses of mythical proportions, and she's right next to you through the worst of the worst, in the very thickest of the shit. The point with the Irradiated water being so easy to purify is that you didnt NEED to use a GECK for it. The entire basis of the story was meaningless, and the water should have ALREADY been purified, like in New Vegas.
