He's not a genius and he's definitely not the best MC out there, but he's a good producer that makes super distinctive, evocative tracks. Each album has a very distinct, unified tone and aesthetic and honestly it's rare to find that in hip hop. Don't go in expecting lyrical mastery but do expect really lush, emotional hip hop and you won't be disappointed.
