I played a stargate game on BYOND long ago, before SS13 even. It was great, there were only 80 or so "worlds" (maps basically), but they all had different races and even languages. But it only ever had like ~60 people online cause it was a BYOND game, nd a roleplaying game on top of that.

Everyone seems to prefer an X-Com like game, but I'd much rather have an online RPG. Not really a true MMO, something like Hellgate: London and Guild Wars (the first one).
You'd have Cheyenne Mountain base as the main, central hub, basically the town for the players who would all share it like an MMO town (GW had this, IIRC), and from there you'd go on away missions on teams of 4 or maybe even larger with several teams of 4. You'd be able to travel to different worlds, fight Goa'uld, replicators and all the other shitters out there, get tech and loot, etc.
Later they could make an expansion with Atlantis as the second hub, and the entire expansion being about the other galaxy.
