No game will ever tell a story in quite the same abstract kind of way, and that's a bit sad.

Really wish I could've played this for that reason. I hear mention of it every once in a blue moon here, but never anywhere else, and I was surprised at what it was like.
>>284011015
Here's a game from 1989.
It's shit.
I enjoyed it anyway.
>>284012271

Everyone that played that game liked it unlike the fucking hellgate trash Op poasted
>>284012682
Most of what I see here is people saying it was visually nice but ultimately a poor game, which I strongly disagree with.

No. This fucking game.
This fucking game was the SHIT. I LOVED this shit as a kid. My Dad used to work as an engineer/handyman and go over to people's houses and I would go with him, and one time they had a PS2 and this game and I played it for hours and eventually borrowed it and beat it
>>284011015

Currently hit a slump while replaying it; stopped at the sky dungeon.
On a side note, fuck those sidejumping minigames.
>>284014902
at the very least, this game has fantastic artstyle and the best cutscenes
>>284013279
I dont know a person who played the game and didn't like it. Its got fun characters and better-than-arkham gameplay.
I fucking miss this game anyone else ever play it? Every time I think about I feel like I am going to cry because I think about happier times in life.

>>284011015
this game was trying a few things ahead of it time. The pay model, the rpg shooter thing years before borderlands. Art design was really cool- totally loved that game.
However, lets not forget it was also a buggy as fuck. I had to quit my first character because a crafting item ended up locked in the weapon slot. p.s. engineer4life

>killed Zeus with a shovel
I think this is the first fps I played where I looked down and could see my legs

if flagship wasnt so shit about keeping the offline and online modes close to the same, and fixing bugs, we would probably be playing a sequel to this game now.

Most people on /v/ like it, it's also a new game. Little special snowflake.
The framerate sucked and the combat is mediocre but i still enjoy walking around in this game, i even platinum it
>>284019458
Darkest Dungeon.
>>284019501
Most of /v/ is ironically cynical, then. Not much surprise.
>>284016308
Other than the mess of bugs, Will Rock isn't that bad especially with the direction shooters are taking nowadays
>>284019775
It has good rule 34. The true way to win /v/'s heart.
>>284020051

>>284020154
Yeah InCase drew some.
>>284019775
Ah, I don't have a gaming PC good enough to play it, but I remember hearing about this before it came out for early access. Sounds really neat, maybe one day I'll be able to check it out.

>mask possessed by fucking tigger
also i must have dumped like $20 on the original game on some mexican arcade emulator
>>284020582
What? I've always been a console guy, then you grow up, you go to university, get a place, buy a car. You get expenses and constantly needing to upgrade a computer is more than some people can afford. I'm usually a generation behind anyways, I'm not done working my way through the PS3 or PSP games I have.
>>284020490
>Winnie and Pooh
>Darkwing Duck
>Terror Mask
>>284020940
He meant that the game doesn't require much power at all in order to play. You could play it on a 6 year old PC just fine
>>284020940
If you can browse 4chan, you can play Darkest Dungeon.
Calm yourself, nigger.
>>284021257
I'm very calm.
>>284021256
Oh? Maybe I'll look into it. I just have a shitty laptop, but if it's not that intensive maybe it'll work.

'ppreciate it.
>>284022308
>Absolution
Nice try anon, but not today.
>>284022308
Dang. Could have snagged some Hitman.
Lords of the fallen although the game was super short
>>284018453
I played that on PS2. It was... well, it was interesting.
Yet to find a person who has actually played this.
>>284023020
I fucking loved that game, i'm ashamed to admit i had to cheat in order to beat the last level though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY8WFWU11x0
>>284023020
Mostly played the first game, which was rad. Really need to get around to playing 2 some time, though.
>>284012995
One of my favorite PS2 titles
those guns were fun
>>284011015
I wanted to get that when it came out. My PC at the time couldn't run it.
I always wondered what it would have been like to play it then. I refuse to play its weird F2P version that's basically a hub-MMO now. I don't even know how similar it is to what it was when it came out.
I always wondered if I dodged a bullet or missed out on something I'd have loved.
>I got a saturn instead of a ps1, parents would only let me choose one system and then I had to stick with it.
If you beat the game, you unlocked a level 2 version of that character, and then if you beat it again you got a level 3 version. Each version had cooler armor. If you beat the game on level 3 you got the "good" ending for that character. I don't understand why I haven't seen that mechanic show up in other games.
>>284020490
>Getting to hear Jim Cummings trash talk you.
Worth the admission price.
Too bad it killed the fucking franchise.
>>284026418MY FUCKING NIGGER
I enjoyed the second one more though.
