Does the lenght of a game matters that much?
5 hours for a movie is pretty long I think.
Depends on what that length constitutes.
A 60 hour game that doesn't feel padded is excellent. But if you have a 60 hour just for the sake of being a 60 hour game, full of padding and boring shit, then I'd much rather have that game be 6 hours instead.
Time is money.
A 5-hour game is fine, but should not cost $60.

Not really, portal was pretty short and lots of fun, same with mirrors edge.
Inversely vietcong takes a long time to complete even a single mission because so much of it is you timidly stalking through a jungle doing your best not to fall in pungee pits.
These examples are good games because of their engaging content regardless of the duration you're exposed to it.
I base games on $1 = 1 hour of Gameplay, so yes it matters.
For example, Persona Q was way over 60 hours and was worth the purchase.
A $60 game that has 5 hours and no replayability isn't, however.

Is there a game over 20 hours that isn't padded?
It depends on the quality of the content in that time, although I think below a certain point the game does not deserve to be a full priced game. A single player campaign of 12 hours is fine if there's decent multiplayer involved, but if it's single player only, it better be a good 20 hours at least. If you've got a 10 hour only single player with no replayability, you damn well better not be charging full price for the game.

Depends on the game.
If it's too short like The Order, then it won't be worth it's price.
On the other end of the spectrum, if it's just backtracking and padding everywhere like Alien Isolation, then that's just as bad.

Isn't that stupid? How expensive is a 2-hour movie? About $10 to $20 right? Then again videogames are kind of inferior aren't they?

In any other case it would be shitposting.
But it's literally. Not. A. Fucking. Game.

Nope, they're free.

But the order is free too.
It's right there on youtube.

By /v/ standards a 120 hour JRPG of mindlessly killing shit and reading boring tsunder tier text is better than Evolve. With infinite replayability but in reality only 10-20 hours worth of content.
HOW CAN A NEXT GEN GAME LAST ONE HOUR
ONE HOUR
WHY

So you are one of those eh?

Nice.
