How about QTE everything even the final boss fight which had recycled animations.

Except that's a blatant lie
80% of the ennemies are bland human mucks. The few werewolves you actually fight are either extremely badly designed or just straight QTE, with one reusing animation assets as the "final boss". And the weapons you use are basically reskinned every TPS weapon, with the exception of the thermite or the arc gun which are just completely underused

Ready at Dawn seriously needs to stop their bickering and suck it up. I just hate how the devs assume anyone who does not love their game is some bully who hates it just to hate it. The game should have been longer, or at least cheaper than $60, and there's no excuse for rehashing boss mechanics. I wonder how many copies will actually be sold.

I wish shills would just admit they need our clammy neet bucks because we have so many users we have a tangible gravitational pull on the tide of games hype.
>>283849654
Because most games nowdays from AAA companies have marketing and advertising budgets 3-4x times the actual development costs, it's becoming more profitable to sell a bad yet well advertised game than it is to sell a well developed yet under-advertised game.
The result is that as customers start seeing gameplay videos, reviews, pre-release copies. There's a higher and higher chance of them going "Wait a second! This isn't what you're trying to sell it to me as!"
It's becomming more and more dangerous for developers to actually SHOW off game content now, because doing so in most cases will just shoot themselves in the foot if they're advertising more than developing.

Real answer:
The issue is with the gaming media. They want to be taken seriously by the critics in the cinema industry, or the music industry or the photo industry, and they think the way to get there is for games to become more and more artistic. Of course that, to them, artistic means more and more like a movie, more and more realistic. So. while they will say a game like STALKER or Bayonetta is good, they will never hail it as a masterpiece, because they want to be taken seriously.
And in their mind, to be taken seriously, you need to have serious games, cinematic games, which tackle really issues. So they have no choice but to defend shit like this, because to their eyes, it is more serious than other games.
They're all fags.

Just because you spend money on something and do a really good job at it, doesn't mean it's good.
Trillions of dollars went into the housing market between 1980 and 2007. The industry worked extremely hard at deregulating itself, and then in 2008, almost sparked the next Great Depression.
