It's a school focused Atelier series. Less focus on moe.
Mix Persona 4 with Atelier Rorona and make it sprite based and that's probably a reasonable approximation of the game.
If you can play the PS2 version, play that as for whatever reason, they lowered the resolution of the background sprites in the PSP version.

Didn't know that finally got translated. Load times off a memory stick were fine, I never played the UMD so I can't comment on that. It was a turn based RPG so the framerate never bothered me, it's not like the original is some super gorgeous PS2 game in the first place.
