Being creative on a turn-based RPG means you handicap yourself so now you're forced to see check all the tools available to you and how to use and/or combine them to defeat enemies. The thing is: this can be applied to any game, including KH (refer to the initial post that generated this chain of posts). Just check a level 1 run, no magic no summons no drive run or a speedrun of KH and you will see that you can be creative as fuck.
TLDR: you can't dismiss turn-based RPGs being a press X to win (just slower than Action RPG) by using the argument that you can be creative on said game, because the same argument also applies to Action RPGs.

If they do a VI remake I hope they flesh out the characters more. They had a bunch of characters and they hardly ever interacted with each other. Locke kind of interacted with Celes. Sabin kind of interacted with Cyan and Gau. Edgar and Sabin were bros I guess. But there wasn't a whole lot of character moments, it was all plot.
