Mother Gothel is better because she has an actual reason to keep Rapunzel locked up away from everyone. She also tricked Rapunzel into thinking Flynn was only after the money, not her. And she got the two henchmen working with Flynn to send him to his death, while she backstabbed them and kidnapped Rapunzel again, all while making her seem like the good guy in Rapunzel's eyes.
What did Hans do? Tell Anna he didn't love her and locked her in a room. If Hans wasn't in the plot, Elsa would have found out from Kristoff that Anna was dying, go find her, Anna "dies", while Elsa tells her she loves her, and Anna comes back to life again. Just like in the movie. Hans is a shitty villain who's only there because Disney wanted a shitty villain.
The fact that the script went through so many rewrites (with Elsa being the villain in almost all of them) says alot about how last minute Hans was.

I haven't seen Brother Bear so I can't compare the two, but I like how the mother-daughter relationship was portrayed and how it was the driving force behind the plot. The movie wasn't about who was right or wrong; they were both in the wrong, and the movie was about Merida and Elinor coming to understand each other and admitting their own faults I also adore the visuals and music, particularly Merida's design and voice. "Huh?" Anon struggled while grasping his surroundings. A room, filled with sun patterns all over the walls. What the hell was this? The last thing he remembered was trying to climb into the tower he found to lie low for a couple of days...and then...

I actually liked the Pirates of the Carribean world though. You could argue it didn't "deserve" to get in over someplace else but for what it's worth I enjoyed that section. I'm still salty about no incredibles world.
