Characters are well design, cute and you become fond of them early, they are simple characters but solid and well made far beyond the generic moeblobs that populate other weeb games. It is full of lighthearted humor that calms the soul.
It has a variation of turn based RPG combat that stands on its own and none other game posess with the exception of Fairy Fencer which is its sibling franchise.
The story is simple but solid and fun.
In a few words, it is a cute and relaxed single player experience with niche appeal that doesn't take itself seriously.

The combat system is a turn based RPG, have you seen the older Final Fantasy games? it is that, with the difference that you can move in a limited area and your attacks have a certain range that determines the quantity of enemies you are attacking in one hit, also, depending of your position you will do more or less damage. You can link your attacks in the forms of rush attacks that fill your exe gauge fauster (in order to do strong finisher attacks), break attacks (which destroy the enemy barrier) and the more powerful attacks to deplete an enemy's health bar. It is simple and very intuitive. Also grinding is not that important because leveling up doesn't improve your stats as much as using the best equipment and weapons.

It can stand on its own, however when you figure it out you will not have problems beating it, if you want it to be harder you can unlock plans to make enemies harder to beat. Also, if two characters have affinity between them they will be able to use special combos.
I love the recycled content, if you get into these games OP you're gonna praise the factory dungeon that appears every game post Victory.It's even worse when you realize these dungeons aren't even from Neptunia.

It cannot. As fancy it's mechanics sound it boils down to pick the weapon with the biggest numbers. Then go to the combo editor and make a string of the strongest attacks in one or two buttons. Put the most devastating finisher you have at the end
During gameplay you mash that one or two button combo you have made till you win
You can also use the lily system to make the characters gay for each other and get a few extra and useless attacks
CPUs can also transform into more powerful forms. This is useful on bosses and in nowhere else unless you have shit gear/levels

It's a cute and silly game. its fun to watch nep do stuff. Like watching a cat.It's make me happy
The story/writing doesn't take itself too seriously and there are some charming characters. Some of the jokes fall flat but it's enjoyable to just chill and skim through it.
The gameplay differentiates itself enough from standard turn-based combat to be mildly interesting, and dealing huge damage numbers or lining up multiple enemies in a combo with tons of hits to build meter is aesthetically satisfying even if it's not all that strategic.
Overall they're solidly okay games, a bit hit or miss in places, but nice light JRPGs that do what they do well enough to be enjoyable for me, as someone who generally likes JRPGs to begin with. They're good when I want to just tune out and relax with something that's light, fun, and not too involved.
I wouldn't consider myself a massive fan of the franchise because I don't think they're particularly "great" games, and I can never be fucked to fully complete them because the postgame stuff is always a tedious, unrewarding grindfest that takes forever, but they're fun to just breeze through the stories and then put them down.
The combat in the game is actually great,it's just the games are piss easy all you have to do is spam ex attacks.They should of kept the difficulty setting as the same time you first fight Blackheart because that fight was actually difficult and required tactics
