Yeah its just in the well. I think the fact that its only seen once makes it far creepier. The re-deads are pretty creepy when you first see them, but there is kind of a lead up to them. The first time you play F.E.A.R is fucking so discomforting.

If you're going to play F.E.A.R., play it on the highest difficulty. Everyone complains that the gameplay and atmosphere are diametrically opposite, well they become a bit closer on higher difficulty levels when using slo-mo is actually almost necessary to survive some firefights on Very hard. The game hasn't aged nearly as badly as you'd think it has (except the flying kick because to this day that's one of the funniest things I've seen in first person. I seriously used the weird hover ability it had to not take falling damage).

Oh, and as a second post, you forgot about the bit in the elevator where suddenly you're falling, you look down just in time to see you're going to fall into a pit of blood, resurface just in time to see ANOTHER body fall into the water, and another rotting corpse, seeing the water is full of them. You dive under to see a way out, just as you swim into seeing your way out, rotting teenage Alma stares at you, staring at you, standing/floating at a 90 degree angle. You swim through the hole and emerge bone dry in a hospital hallway knowing EXACTLY what's going to come next.
I don't even care if that sounds like pussy shit to some people, it takes you along for the ride around the end. Also talk about a story that just gets more and more fucked up as you keep going through it. Haven't played the sequels, but goddamn.

Anyone ever tried Baroque? I tried once only to find out the hub area (A pretty desolate looking place inhabited by the most delightful carnival folk) which in every other Roguelike is your safe Zone was haunted by Ghost Fish which would follow you no matter where you were on the map.
