I'm from Finland. My family is originally from Russia, like most in Eastern Finland. On the other hand, most families in Western Finland seem to come from central Europe. We still have a national a national identity, even if there are two provably different major ethnicities in the country.

It doesn't have to be about benefit. I think it's a duty of the developed countries to give chances to people who have none where there come from. It's also a human right to be able to live where you want, provided you're ready to work for it. You don't have to forsake your origins, but adapting to a new environment should be a given.
I know immigration, especially mass immigration causes some huge problems at times, but I still think it's much better to take the chance than close the borders

In the same province, we have Oktoberfest, the Highland Games and other cultural festivals of European origins. Heck, we have Roma clubs, which are Italian run. We do have that Sikh RCMP officer who is allowed to wear a turban. But I would give him a pass on it. Because Sikhs and Indians are a pretty important part of the commonwealth. So respecting cultures within it is important. And that's what it is.
