The Witcher has always had fantastic looking armor, and most of the time it's fairly grounded, or at least a lot more grounded than most fantasy games. They get a bit over-stylized with some of Geralt's sets, but the armor on soldiers is fantastic.

They're probably already dead because CDPR takes most of its designs from real life counterparts. In Geralt's case they're modified in some ways to fit his profession as a supernatural monster hunter.

Nothing to do with bloodline. Most are ugly middle daughters of lords and barons who nobody wants anything to do with. So they get taken to magic schools, and learn how to turn into immortal walking barbies. And no, there is no fix for them to become sterile again, there is a limit to what magic can do.
While the witcher mutations turn you sterile, the learning socrecy for females is like a 95% chance to become sterile. They mostly do not breed, they mostly pick girls that show promise of talent and take them.

I have to say as characters have been revealed for TW3 I keep thinking, "Man Vesemir, Triss etc, look really different", but I think it's just a strange reaction.
Looking at all the characters side-by-side they're very similar. Yea some small changes here and there, but as the graphics just get better and better they just look more and more real and that's really the major difference. Otherwise they still all definitely look like the same 'ol characters.

There is a fire incinerate spell and fire bombs. Not much armor in the first game but a lot of it in the second. There are axes and maces but you still mostly use swords because they are witcher's choice weapons. Only throwing knifes for ranged.

You have five 'signs', magic spells basically, that you find as you progress through the game.
Aard is pretty much Force Push (or Fus Ro Dah, if you've played Skyrim), Igni is a fire blast that sends out flames all around you, then there's Quen, Axii and one other, that does other stuff.

Geralt and Yennefer are deeply in love with each other. Throughout their very unstable relationship, they have both screwed around and had flings.
Triss used to be Yennefer's best friend, until Triss wanted some witcher mojo. Somewhere along the lines she got it.

The first two books, which are basically just a collection of short stories during Geralt's travels, are 9/10 top tier fiction would recommend. The next 5 books of the actual saga itself are incredibly mediocre and average, 6/10 at most. They're not terrible, but just read them if you want to get know the storyline and lore behind TW games.

yes, it has triss sex, but the sex scenes are handled differently. I liked the story in both games but enjoyed 1 much more. 2 is more political heavy though, but it lacks the buildup, personal involvement, and overall generalimpliedimpact/connections that 1 has.

Where are you getting this, "Geralt would never use a crossbow" from? Yeah, he was not impressed by a specific crossbow in the books, and is not trained to fight with them, but there is no suggestion in the books at all that he, or any witcher would neglect a tool necessary for hunting monsters.
And it is not like using a crossbow takes any kind of special training anyways, they just have severe disadvantages being a specialized weapon/tool, and are shit for actual combat.
