They must have killed me at least 20 times. I didn't notice much of a difference between being undead and being alive in this game. When i was alive I kept getting invaded so it was just me and Sol atempting most of it when i wasnt trying to take them both on by myself. Lucky I actually summoned help along with Sol for them. Fuck these guys, no other boss was a challenge after them. The 3 kings were easy...and I didn't know the guy with the flaming sword was the last boss, it felt like a sub boss. After the asshole brigade my reactions were lighting fast so i had no more trouble with black knights.

No one could beat Manus. Hell no one could even go into the Abyss at all without either instantly dying in the case of New Londo or turning into the bloatheads in the case of Oolicile. Elizabeth mentions that Artorias is more susceptible to the Dark for some reason but he still was able to make it to the bottom before he was forced to retreat. CU can beat Manus but then CU is the embodiment of an ancient prophecy who's purpose is to kill the world's most powerful god and take his place.

Depends on how well you pay attention and how quickly you pick up on patterns. If you do moderately well on either it shouldn't take no more than I guess 10 hours when you don't know how to do anything if you try and blaze through it. More if you go poking around for extra goodies and fights.

Man after DS2 I hope Miyazaki returns to DS. Bloodborne interested me at first but after seeing more and more of it I think I realised my favourite part of DS is that it's twisted Medieval Fantasy while Bloodborne is twisted Dark Fantsasy and that just doesn't interest me as much.
Also I've started growing on big tanky characters since Bloodborne footage came out and the Bloodborne designs look way too light. I like being able to choose between running around shirtless with dual Caestus then afterwards going back to a heavy tank, cutting shit up.

It depends, you can really put a ton of time into some of the finer points of the game like weapon crafting, farming humanity, or trying for certain weapons and items, all of which can really extend your game. I did a decent amount of the above and beat it first time around 40 hours, but you can probably do it in a decent amount shorter.
