Actually games like that always existed like video games based on popular francises for little girls.

Well when I ask what you think of the idea that these characters had been male from the start that's essentially asking the same question, isn't it just "pandering" that they are female, because they were designed to garner to *somebody's" interest, while in truth the game would have been just as well off had they gone with the status quo and made them male.
On the same level that making pretty much all characters male is "pandering" as well, I guess, but pandering to the vast majority of core gamers which happen to be male and can identify with them more.

AAA games were never at risk, but smaller games are. This means the devs have to rely mostly on word of mouth. This might be good enough for smaller indie devs like Dennaton Games, but I'm not sure it's enough for medium-sized devs like Obsidian or Larian.
This is what really bothers me about this whole thing: I've already given up on AAA games; for the most part, they're bad and never going to get better. However, medium-sized devs have a chance to do more niche games and to have artistic freedom, and it really bothers me that these fuckers are trying to take that away.

Except that's not true. SJW tend to give the illusion that they are the majority when in reality they are the minority. They pretend to be real gamers when they don't even play games or give a fuck about games. Even tho they are just using gaming at a platform to further their agenda, companies like EA and Ubisoft think they are now the majority. Thus they cater to them despite sjw not buying games in the first place.
