The device is hardware that games utilize. Unless facebook integration gets added on a hardware level, there are no issues.

Not as long as it's PS4 exclusive.
There are certain requirements in resolution and framerate that need to be to fulfilled in order to create a pleasant VR experience. A console that already struggles to reach 1080p/60FPS simply won't be able to do that.

They did do a calibration process where you got your IPD right, RIGHT?
Because if they didn't there is literally no way you could enjoy it or even use it if your IPD setting was bad.

There are times when it can be quite comfy, I personally like standing at the corner of Franklin's balcony at night and just let the camera drift on the twinkling city lights below.
I do admit though it is not as comfy as a lot of games, but it has the potential to be a lot more, which I'm hoping mods will fix.
Well I got DK2 and I'm now a bit more cautious about it. Of course the impression it gives is completely out of this world, you actually feel inside the game's world. But there are couple problems and the biggest one is the lack of content for it. I used to think that I'll just go ahead and play all my favorite old games with a driver, but getting one to work is really fucking hard, especially if resolution of your monitor isn't the same as Rift's, then you really are in a world of shit.

Pretty fucking hype. First game I'll probably play on it is pretty obvious: Mirror's Edge. Then I'll probably try some good-looking FPSes, like the Crysis and Metro games. Maybe Cryostasis and STALKER if they work.

Why are you mirroring screens? At most, you would just temporarily set the Rift as primary.
Now, in Direct mode, some games will lock to the refresh rate of your primary monitor which is a different problem altogether.

it's pretty amazing when you get to be inside a world you create.
with my 280x I have to reduce the screen space quite a bit to reach 75 FPS, specially if when I use effects with lights and shit... it looks great at high screen space values though.

I'd caution against getting hype for 1st person games that aren't bound to a cockpit- The disconnect you feel when making some movements in-game can be really disorienting.
Then again, that may be because, for whatever reason, every first person walking demo I've tried on the Rift makes your head direction control the direction your body is facing in game instead of just looking to the side. It legitimately makes me sick.
