I'm not sure.
I was blown away when I first played it but I feel like it's really losing a lot towards the end, the chapters feel rushed and the final bossfight is nowhere near close to the final boss of Bayo 1. Also normal difficulty is way too easy. Playing it on 3rd climax now and it feels more natural. I absolutely loved Bayo 2's Golem. I don't know why but geometrical objects as enemies hit the right buttons with me. Like Yami in Okami.

It was damn good but lacks content. I've squeezed only 60 hours out of it and I really wish there was more to do. I guess there's going back though all the chapters and trying to at least Plat them on 3rd climax, but as far as I can tell I get fuck all for it. There's the Witch Trials, but they were mostly pretty easy and breezing through the first 3 don't take very long, IV was balls to the walls hard until one night it just clicked and I swept through it, and then V is literally Adolf Hitler. Tag is kinda boring. Grinding money for weapons is laughably easy.
That said the core gameplay is fantastic. I just wish there was more stuff to get/do.

I guess. There's not a lot of room for variation or experimentation. You can practice at just gitting gud, but the fights mostly all go the same.
I managed to squeeze 500 hours out of Pikmin 3 merely because there are so many ways of doing things that it was fun trying to find the most efficient means of gathering fruit, building things, and killing enemies to bolster your ranks. In Bayonetta it's pretty much just git gud, use the meta weapons, and then use your git gudness to git the lowest time possible.
