I know, but with Nintendo's recent emphasis on throwing Zelda into everything, that's always what they use, because of that very reason.
It's the most iconic thing, but it's getting boring and old. Sonic Lost World DLC was Hyrule Field with rupees instead of rings and Overworld rock. Hyrule Warriors was shown off with the field and the rock. Now we get Hyrule Field and the Overworld theme and rupees in MK8.
I realize it might be asking too much of a track, but for it to not be boring they should have it move through Zora's Domain and Death Mountain and other areas too. I understand why they might not do something like that, but that's just why it's so boring now.
And seriously, what is with the two Hylian Shields on the bike? That's Pimp My Ride tier.

I think they use it so much because it's so entry level. You can show off a portion of the field and a dungeonesque area, like in the case of Lost World's DLC, and call it a day. You've shown two of the most iconic parts about Zelda and hope that they'll get curious enough to get a Zelda game and explore more about the series.

It works well as an advertisement for Zelda, but for people who are already aware of Zelda and Nintendo games it's starting to become oversaturated.
I know Nintendo has stepped up their efforts to get their different IP into all kinds of other games: Rayman, Tekken, Musou, Monster Hunter, Sonic, (I'm probably forgetting like 50 more), and they're cross-polinating with their own series like in Mario Kart. But it's just becoming homogenous and too much.
I'm so sick of seeing Hyrule Field and hearing that music and I'm sick of seeing everything wearing Mario and Luigi overalls too.
I guess Nintendo makes more money off of new fans then they do off of old ones and aren't worried about annoying guys like me.

I personally it should have 4 Zelda-themed tracks in the Hyrule Cup.
That way, Nintendo can shoehorn the obligatory Hyrule Field/Castle and the overworld theme, then they can get creative. Probably what will happen is that you can play the tracks if they're picked by people who have the dlc, however, you can't vote for them yourself, so you might get stuck voting random if all the tracks up for vote are dlc.
They have to patch the fucking game anyway to include the models, code and shit for the new carts/characters, so that is most likely, however, there might be seperate mp queues for dlc owners and people who don't have the dlc. That would be kind of stupid, because you're splitting the playerbase in half.
I don't know why nintendo hasn't said anything about this.

- you can also select to only play the DLC levels
- everyone has to have the DLC if they want to join your tournament

- those with the DLC will never have any disruption to their experience because other people didn’t get the new courses.
