Tips for Great Fairy?
C4 drops bombs on everything and is a great keep/minion sweeper. C3 is pretty decent for taking out Raid and Outpost Captains, and similar troops. C6 is just devastating. C5 is nice with it's draw-in effect, but is hard to use after a dash forward. All her heavy attacks at the end of combos leave her invulnerable, so you don't need to worry about being hit during any of them. Don't forget her standard combo, which hits a lot of times and smacks everything away with that water kick. You can dodge to jump out of her end laugh animation at the end of that.
Dodging is the real problem. It's harder to tell where her hit box is, because she's so much larger. You'll probably spend most time dodging a few times and starting combos from a little bit away, just so you hit with the end or get into the invulnerable state before something can hit you.
Also, feel free to spam the super liberally. She hits enough to recharge it quickly.

That's a hard one. Have Link be above 70 and get the best Great Fairy you have and give her Strength IV. Your basic strategy should be to abuse GF's combos for their massive AoE and invincibility frames, especially C4 because the bombs wreck the Shield Moblins. Start out by going to Zant and killing him so he won't wreck Lana and your allied base, use C1 if you need more damage but keep your eyes open for Shield Moblins because they'll knock off like 5 hearts if you get smacked in that state. Once you kill Zant he should drop a full magic bar, use it to cap the castle keep to the south and work clockwise for around the map and capture all 4 keeps. When you pass by Ghirahim drop a few moons on him to weaken him for your allies. Hopefully you'll be fast enough to capture all 4 for the mission without one being stolen. The last one is right beside Cia so rush her down and spam more AoEs on her keep. This should get you enough kills and you'll wear down Cia pretty easily. Kill her before 15 minutes and you should be fine.

It makes expanding the map initially a lot more forgiving since about 11 of the first 24 squares will be 1 minute games. So people wouldn't give the game mode up after 3 maps and an hour when they waste their cards before they figure out the true relevance of the compass.

Bro-op is also helpful. Having a good second player with you can work wonders when it comes to comboing enemy commanders/captains.
I think this game is fun but I'm not great at it and get real fucking frustrated with the bullshit "kill 1000 enemies also here's like 7 bosses to fuck you up okay good luck" missions.

Pretty easy, but bear in mind that the Fairy is pretty slow, so when you take a keep, kill anything with a healthbar around it so you don't have to crawl across the map to retake it, it's very easy to go over time if you have to do that.

Zant's mission forced me to sort of cheat with co-op. Since I don't have friends I parked Zant in the place where one of the captains spawn south of the keep because enemies don't go there and used Link because I don't know how to fucking play Zant worth a game. Even trying to meatgrinder on Ghirahim at the end was too slow because he has so much fucking health if you're using a darkness weapon.

Great Fairy actually doesn't move that slowly, it's just that she's so huge it's hard to notice here moving across the battlefield at the same speed. Her attacks are big and sweeping and take awhile to pull off, especially if you're trying to hit a single target when moving all over the place.

Those are pretty much "Do you know what your character's best AoE moves are and are they high enough level?". There's some skill in knowing how to kite enemies and what not, but if you can't reliably kill a giant boss in two weakpoint smashes, you're not supposed to be doing that level.
Also, don't go out of your way to kill anyone with a name or a healthbar outside of the first and maybe second giant boss, just kill the guys around them and move on, since generals still only count for one kill.

She definitely seems to move slower to me, but either way, the point is that she moves at a speed that means you can't run back across the map during the T3 unlock, so you need to clear the keeps you take and the surroundings of captains and generals. Most other T3's will tolerate a bit of sloppiness and looping around on that front.

Kill all the grunts, ignore the captains/named characters, stay away from the bosses. Unless it's Gohma you should be able to avoid the large bosses for the most part, or end up just running past them to the next group. Don't waste time trying to kill them or the named characters. Don't worry about the morale buffs either, as you should still be killing drones in a few hits with it.

Lock onto it and get better at throwing those knives at stuff off-screen. Stun it with the arrow and then drop the lock-on, since unless he is considerably overpowered you aren't likely to kill it. Don't be afraid to run off and take out a different group if things are getting troublesome. You should be able to wipe out most of a group even before Gohma catches up to you. The real problem is when one takes a shot with their laser from a distance.
If all else fails, just come back at lv.50 or so with Ghirahim's T3 weapon. You could probably one-shot them at that point.

To finish the mission? Usually not. In legend mode the quarter heart piece will always be in a chest that pops out from taking over a keep while the full heart is hidden either under a rock you need to blow up or somewhere you have to hookshort or whatever.
In adventure mode both heart pieces will always be hidden in keeps.

Adventure is a whole other beast. You'll mostly have to A-rank maps there to progress (and get new shit), and taking every keep just takes too much time for that.

there's a weapon skill, I think Compatriot, that will increase attack power the more rooms you have under your control.
Also you'll sometimes find hidden chests in rooms you clear, definitely in adventure mode.
Tactically, enemy captains will feel the need to take over your rooms before continuing whatever they were headed to do in the first place, so you can use it as a way to stall their movement while you go off doing other side-missions.

If you're starting out, then Keep Bosses and Outpost Captains will drop materials that you need for basic upgrades. Clearing them all out is a good idea.
Other than that? Not really. Sometimes you will want to capture a keep so that advancing forces waste their time retaking it rather than marching on your Allied Base, or something similar. Some of those random keeps will occasionally be holding a heart piece or treasure chest. Beyond that, you can complete a mission without taking all the keeps. Generally just wiping out the main generals and the current Raid Captains will keep your situation stable long enough to finish off the final boss.
