Every encounter requires attention.
The encounters are random, so random that it doesnt rreally have many scripted appearances ( during gameplay ) And the AI seems to have some sort of agressive meter, the more sound you make and the more you alert him the more he comes up and or stalks an area. There are a few scripted encounters along the road but most of it is unscripted. It's well done.
Only problem I had with the game was the gadgets are annoying to use (they bounce around like rubber) and they are not needed anyway. I spent most of the game with a full inventory.
Also fuck the map, I finished the game without realizing the tracker showed you which way to go. Fuck.

For those who is not sure if play or not because they get spooked easily - DO play it. It's not spooky, it just makes you feel on the edge, there's always this great tension. Aliensdoesn't gets old even when you get weapon to surpass him.
It's also worth to play it just for the action sequences, they are fucking amazing, cod games and other blockbusters are not on even close to that shit.
My only small complain about the very end of the game. Amanda gets more bullshit happening to her in a few minutes than that bitch in Gravity during whole movie. Was kinda out of place

I feel like this is the Alien game that we've wanted for so long.
Playing it feels great, you can tell the devs really went into detail watching Alien and drawing the concepts and world from that one movie.
To any sceptic bros i felt the same way, CA's last game was fucking shit and SEGA love to fuck us over. This is a good game though, I'll not go into hyperbole about how great it is but i'd say it's deffinately worth owning if you're an Alien fan. The fan-service is pretty limited and it feels like a movie sequel to the first alien.
The environments and atmosphere are spot on as you can see in any of the WebMs
The game is difficult without being outright retarded (From my own experience of playing on hard) I feel like a lot of the complaints about the Alien waiting outside of lockers and rooms for you are by players who simply do nothing whilst the Alien stalks you.

seems random to me. i was hiding in a locker in a small room and he came in, waited for him to walk out, he did, made my way through the door and he just decided to do a 180 as i was going through the door. i enjoy erratic ai patterns, but when it's pretty much death on sight with save spots with such distance, it just isn't entertaining to me at all. it's an exercise in tedium and i'm not a masochist. does the game ease up after the medbay?

They are if you deal with alien encounters by hiding in a closet until it goes away. There are other more effective andfunways to get past it though, closets should be a last resort especially because the alien sometimes just rips the closet open and facerapes you
