I guess I either get bored easily or I want to spread my experience and play time. I usually try grabbing the guy and letting him escape out of it without hurting them, but the message sometimes doesn't get through. Is there some sort of universal signal that I don't know about or something?

Then I realized that Verizon internet is fucking awful and swore off Online until I could get:
a) A better Router and Modem.

Time battle means that all the players get to play the entire time, whereas in a Stock battle a player often will get knocked off early and have to watch the rest of the people play without them. Sucks if you're going up against more skilled opponents.
"Glory" mode I guess Stock makes more sense but most people 1v1 anyways.

You could perfect block to reflect the projectile back.
You can just block it and step forward between attacks.
You can roll through the projectile.
You can hop and aerial dodge them.

Spamming faggots all of them, i havent had a decent fight against a Jap player because everytime they use either Toon Link/Rosalina, Duck Hunt, Bowser Jr and Rob and spam all attacks and with all the lag i kept getting hit.
I got some replays where i rekt them though, it's so satisfying since they're only one trick ponies, after you manage to properly jump with the lag, they're done.
