Fun fact:
We know more about deep space than we do about deep sea/ocean.

>we can go to the deepest parts of the sea
You know nothing. The % of "mapped" deep parts of the oceans and seas are pretty small. Deep oceans are such a great mystery to scientists and biologists because even tho we have been there, it's only the tip of the iceberg. And we are not closer from going further than we have already gone because it's simply impossible.

>missing pic name anyways

>We know more about deep space than we do about deep sea/ocean.
You nigga don't realize that there's multiple deep seas in space?
>>

We can go down to 3000-4000. While we can't reach the stars, because we have trouble going past pluto due the time scale.

I honestly hope you aren't comparing straight distance with these too. Because nigger you'd be retarded to do that.

To put it in your own retarded words:
The % of "mapped" "deep" "parts" of "space" are pretty small. You do know how humongous huge space is, right?

>>
>>266369460
Bad choice of words from me since using %'s in space is really stupid.

Anyways, keep grasping at whatever you can but truth is that the amount of mapped space and information about deep space we have is WAY BIGGER than the information and mapped underwater we have.

You are free to go and check it yourself.

>>266369731
Fun fact, that doesn't prove my point wrong. We still know more about the unverse than we do about deep oceans and seas in our planet.

>>
>>266370536
Universe is not infinite per se. Theories say that it's limited but constantly expanding.
>>
>>266367116
Depends pretty fucking wildly on what you consider "knowing". We don't understand dark energy, we don't understand dark matter. We have extremely limited knowledge in the exact way that planets are formed. We don't know the exact parameters how to differentiate huge gas giants from brown dwarfs.

While on the subject of seas, we have accurate maps of them, we understand how life works down there, we have some knowledge about the ecosystems et cetera.

In short, you're a fucking idiot.
>>
>deep sea thread on /v/
sooo when someone post IT?
>>
>>266367116
We have literally mapped the entire ocean floor
>>
>>266371264
depend on what you consider ACCURATE, UNDERSTAND and SOME KNOWLEDGE

We DON'T have accurate maps. And the ones we have are from parts that we can hardly consider deep.
We only understand/ecosystems how life works down there from the specimens that we got. And those are hardly all the speciments out there.

In short, you are a fucking idiot for assuming we know a lot about deep oceans because we have little hints of how things MIGHT work.

>>266371481
>that pic
>precise mapping
and again, mapping oceans floor doesn't equal to knowing about deep waters the same way that mapping the universe doesn't mean we know about the universe
I couldn't care less about mapping the ocean floors.
>>
>>266371059
Let's say it is limited. What happens when you get to the limit? Some impassable wall of force? And what's on the other side, entropy?

Yeah, and we lack accurate information about the universe
We lack understanding of the universe

AND WE SEVERELY LACK SOME KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE UNIVERSE

Saying that we know more about the universe than about deep seas is objectively wrong. We do not know anything about the universe.
>>
>>266371481
Light can only penetrate the ocean by like 1000 metres. We also discover a multitude of new species every time we visit the abyssal plain and there is a ship in existence that can be down there for more than a few hours at a time.

Pretty interesting stuff if true.
>>
>>266373054
>we lack information about the universe means we know more about deep oceans

You seem to be stuck in there. I'll help you with a little example.
Lets say the ALL we can learn from the universe is "100000".
Lets say that all we can learn from deep oceans is "100".

We know 100/100000 about the universe.
We know 30/100 about deep oceans.

We know more about Universe or deep oceans?
Remember: This is about what WE KNOW not about what we DONT KNOW.

Saying that we know nothing about the universe is FACTUALLY wrong, because we actually know quite a lot of stuff from the universe and we keep discovering things constantly.

Well seems like that's what I was referring too indeed.
Even tho I remember the Möbius strip getting used as an example of how the universe could be infinite in the sense that reaching the end was reaching the beginning.
Something like that, it's really vague.
