Every Dragon Ball Z game with voice acting and no dual audio was unplayable. Thankfully in recent years they've been adding Jap audio so suffering through that shitfest of a dub isn't mandatory anymore and it's possible to listen to it the way it was meant to be heard.
Sure not many that still go dub-only (even SE stopped doing it, despite doing it for years), a lot are starting to just not bother making a dub too.

I prefer it. Greatly prefer it, but 'better' is a subjective term. You liking the falconer/funimation version is fine. It doesn't make what I love cease to exist. I think some of it has to be when you were first exposed to Dragonball.
The only reason I watch the show is for the acting, and now I just play the games, because the story telling is more on par with the manga, and the character actually look like Toriyama drew them. No forty-four episode screaming matches. The manga in Japanese is the only way. I still hear Masako Nozawa's voice while reading Goku. There is something else that every English iteration of the series has missed. Goku and Chichi have a very unique country accent. The equivalent to Larry the Cable guy. Let that sink in.

1.) A friend of mine once told be about a review of one of the DBZ games, which I believe was on the Wii. The distinctive things about this review is that it was apparently made by Adam Sessler, and the review consisted of a few homoerotic jabs. Another thing that stood out is when Sessler gave his verdict, he spliced in Cell saying "Have you completely lost your mind?" between "3" and "out of 5". Anyone know the review?
2.) I remember seeing an image of Vegeta where he was giving a coy expression, which could be interpreted as a sarcastic "Preposterous, who would do such a thing?" His head was tilted and he was facing forward, but his eyes were facing in the opposite direction his head was tilted in.

The Japanese language is filled with a number of colloquialisms and linguistic conventions that either don't exist in English at all or have poor equivalents that sound moronic and/or wooden. Because of that, the quality of a work is often lost in translation when moving into English.
