Mass Effect had a shitton of planets to explore too...but that was the worst part of the game.
I'd like to hear more about the actual things you can do and how the game will actually play.
it's fractal procedural generation. you will have seen everything in 1-2 hours, depending on the amount of base types, and then just mix-and-match from what you've seen before.
It will be an exploration game and nothing more.

How is the dogfighting in this game? Can a dogfight extend from a planet's surface to space seamlessly? If so it has potential. Otherwise this looks like the most boring piece of shit ever.

in the videos, you can see that it includes exploration as a main feature, but also apparently survival like if your ship gets destroyed and you die, apparently you must start over on that planet, build a new ship, etc.
so with that, i assume you do more than just fly around.
plus you can see in the videos that it includes space warfare, a very underrated theme in video games.
plus shoot holes in an asteroid and fly through that shit!?

watch the video, you will see he leaves a planet, reaches orbit, fights multiple enemies and then flys across another completely different planet.

Not to mention the complete disregard for science and logic in favor of doing a bunch of simplistic goofy shit because he was too lazy to actually program something that reflects reality.

The sheer amount of scientific knowledge, programming prowess and computing hardware required for such a simulation is far beyond what we're capable of. None of these planets are realistic in the slightest, and CERTAINLY none of the creatures are either.
