Games only you played

Why is that using the Paper Mario font
I remember seeing this payed on Cinematech one night, forever ago.
>>263232128
most underrated show imo. Best way to learn of unusual games.
>>263232910
It was pretty neat when they would show a speedrun in the corner of the screen.
>>263230612
This game still holds a special place in my heart, good memories, the sequel was good also, but not as charming as the first one.
>>263230612
I did play it a long time ago though
Metal Combat. It's one of the worst games i've ever played.
>>263235708
Accurate representation of modern Sweden.
>>263235509
I can't even identify what I'm looking at there.
>>263235820
You might have a point.
>>263235830
That's a robot walking. It's a fighting game, you see. Amazing design, i know.
>>263230612
It was pretty fun.
It's depressing how many AAA titles I've left unfinished while playing shit games to completion.
>>263236282
I remember this
>>263236350
Are you russian?
>>263230612
>received PS2
>only game included
>HEEEEELP MEEEEE forever ingrained in my mind.
No one played or still play this
>>263236581
I've played it.
>>263236435
No, but I've played many Russian FPS in hopes of discovering some hidden gems, like Hellforces or Ãœbersoldier 2.
Very fun game
This game was the shit.
Portal Runner on GBC
>>263236589

>>263236581
I've never played it, but I still remember the ad campaign.
>>263236937

>>263230612

>>263237142
Yeah, it does.
This was actually fun as fuck
>>263235334
Is that asian Nick Cage?
I got it from a bargain bin at a games store some years ago. I literally haven't seen or even heard it mentioned anywhere else. It's actually pretty fun
Played through the whole thing.
>>263236837
It really was, came out towards the dying end of adventurous, cartoony 3D platformers.
>>263235509
Well, fuck you too.

>>263237252
just downloaded this and the prequel's ISO
waiting to get back home to play this
i win
>>263245181
Nah, I jammed the hell out of this. First played it some demo disc, then tracked down a copy because I have an obsession with sea creatures.
More games need giant sea beast fights. Preferably in first person.
I don't even remember the name. It was an RTS. It had 3 races, a three-legged alien thing, plant aliens with loads of eyes and hippie aliens
I fucking love this game
>>263246734
This is pay2play? Pfffft
>>263246390
Aw man I wish my PC could handle 3D PCSX2 games Right now I'm playing Fire Pro Wreslting Returns pretty much one of the few games I play without slowdowns
>>263230612
I got it from GOG not long ago and beat it.
It was as fun as I remembered it.
I wish the second one wasn't shite compared to this one.
>>263248074
nope
chipped ps2
i burn more or less 80 discs. i will never be able to finish all them
>>263247104
That game is pretty well known. I've played the shit out of it.
>>263248314
To this day, building in an RTS still isn't as detailed looking.
>>263248303
Oh I wonder how much it cost to get you PS2 chipped
>>263248426
honestly i don't know
i bought one used and the kid who had it paid someone to chip the ps2.
i am very lucky

>>263230612
Way more fun than it looks.
>>263251113

More of a software than a game. I would sit around and compose shitty tracks for hours on end when I was an 8 year old kid.
pic related, Gunlok and Project Earth also known as Starmageddon.
Shame the only downloadable Golem is in russian
I grew up on it, my dad bought it for me at a yard sale.
>>263230612
I have it with a sequel on Steam.
>>263245181
the underwater temple with all the traps was pretty scary as a kid
I was that kid whose parents bought him a Master System so I'm sure there's plenty of shitty games nobody else has played.
Does anybody rememberDragon Crystal?
Still have this game from GoG.
>>263251237

>>263237096

Now all I need is a flame vest and a couple of Offspring albums
>>263248607
oh shit I played the original. I tried the second one for about an hour and found it pretty meh.
Is it worth carrying on?
>>263230612
i used to play the shit out of this game
>>263230612
That was a fun game.
Not much replay value though after you try going for the fastest times.
>>263252860
Shit, I haven't played it in years so I'm not even sure. I've still got it lying around somewhere, though.
Never played the original, I found 2 in a discount shelf when places were trying to get rid of their remaining PS1 game stocks.
>>263230612
I did play this OP, I actually recently bought it on GoG to play it again
>>263230612
Except everybody in Russia played it.
But what about this masterpiece?
it sucked ass
>>263252160
My heroin crazed father gave me that for christmas one year. Fun game.
>>263254171
Is this a third sequel?
I don't understand gulag
>>263254434
Yes, but made by russian devs, because original game was so popular here.
>>263236589

Starshot Space Circus Fever
It was great
Simutrans, the best transport tycoon game.
I think this was actually the first strategy rpg I played. It was pretty budgeted but it was decent from what I remember. I know I hated it the first time I played it since I had no idea what the fuck was going on but I started liking it more after beating a few stages.
>>263254875
It's not half as fun if you don't know the whole context and don't frequent gamedev.ru forums
>>263254875
Bljat, I almost forgot that gulshit.
>>263255296
You are right.
Also, this game.
Bought it one time and loved it.
Strange game (????? ????? ??????? ???????????).
.
On the subject of Russian vidya
>>263256067
>lohotronshick
Thanks, bro.
>>263249416
Is there a reason why Neighbors from Hell is associated with Russia? I always thought it was big only in Germany, considering that it had been developed in Austria and coincided with a popular German TV show about evil/annoying neighbors.
>>263256371
Aww yeah I played that shit, loved the fake credits scene.
>>263256723
Was very popular in Russian.
Just like Postal 2 (postal 3 made by russian devs).
ITT: European PC games
>>263256371
>a game that inspired a tv series
>I ONLY PLAYED IT I"M SPECIAL
>>263237965
I played some of that one. I am ashamed to admit I never finished it. Time to go through the old library and reinstall.
>>263240784
How come I've never seen this before? Is it abandonware? Can I find a torrent?
>>263257904
It's definitely on UndergroundGamer.
Oh, wait...
My first game.
It was complete shite.
>>263256723
It's that phenomenon when something becomes really popular in another country for some weird reason. I suppose that it happened because localization was pretty good, the game mostly relied on slapstick and not on writing, and neighbour looked like a person that you can meet in everyday Russian life. Also Jowood may have had some ties with Russian vidya industry - they were publishing Silent Storm on the west, for example (and they fucked up a lot with this one, by the way)
Codename fucking Panzers
>>263258124
Timeless box art.
>>263257367
Remind me of that Adult Swim game. Was the idea basically the same?
>>263256371
I think you're in the wrong thread
>>263237965
is she covered in shit?
>>263258376
Is that on the C&C Generals engine?
>>263258429
Not really, Antigotchi didn't actually have any virtual pet mechanics. It was a full-blown point&click adventure with an emphasis onpolitical satire.
It was also terrible.
Im still unsure why I like this game, but im also really pissed that nearly every person I ask in Warframe has almost no idea what DS is.

Hmm, just checked review on ag.ru, it seems fun. Also
>game released in 2004
>reviewer complains that levels are too smal, "like on consoles"
>>263257496
Well, there are also European *console* games no one has played.
>>263258789
Sorry to hear that. See that why I asked, honestly you can never judge the game based on the title or boxart alone.
Beside a few rare cases I often found games nothing to be like what I thought they were going to be. Image related, I thought this was a giant sandbox where it was literally survival of the fittest and you have to grow and evolve to take down the big boss. Turn out it had stages and the sandbox you do get at the end while fun is meaningless as you are already a god by then in terms of power.
X-Play while great back in the day and help when it came to getting games you know you will like actually was pretty misleading with this one. With that said I can't say I regretted buying it, I loved every moment of it.
>>263259334
Oh yeah, couldn't find a good size game version cover. But you nerds will still know regardless.
>>263259331
>*console* games
I played it on PC.
>>263230612
RPG Lite. Pretty fun game.
>>263259323
The game isn't really bad, in my opinion, it's just very arcade-y and the SP campaign is just a bunch of MP arenas with bots.
>>263259331
Infernal is on PC too.
>>263259485
Well, it wasn't a console exclusive. I'm surprised you've played it at all, though.
>>263259415
There was a Cubivore trophy in Smash Bros Melee that said something like Japan only or Coming soon. I've never played it, what's it all about?
>>263259781
Well, this game got 1 page coverage in the biggest game magazine in Russia at the time.
Alternatively called Empire of Steel in other regions. This is a great game, and you owe it to yourself to play the Genesis/Mega Drive Version.
>>263250821
>that horrible feel when I can't get this to work.
It was one of my favourite games.
I really hate those 1 hit kill monster
>>263258814
What's this gameplay-wise?
>>263230612
> A Jo Wood production
I know a lot of people who have this in their Steam libraries but I don't know anyone who's actually played it.
>>263230612
But I played that game OP.
Am I the only one?
>>263237096
I still got this as a sticker on my old TV. U never playeds the actual game but it was in gaming magazine around 2000 or something. My 15 year old self thought this was pretty cool.
>>263250161
>263250161

>>263260397
you're batshit, /v/ loves this game
>>263259963
I have stumbled across this game on some ROM pack by complete accident. It's fucking great, and it looks like it was inspired by Castle in the Sky
>>263236375
Wasn't that just a rerelease of of a Dreamcast game?
European PC games no one has played are the best.
>>263259860
The trophy said coming soon. It is basically you eating other colored monsters to get the stats you want. After you get far enough in the stage and eat enough love bugs (I believe they were called anyway) your animal thing died after breeding a few new animal pups with an added limb. You pick your favorite and repeat the process until you get six limbs (five generations after your great granddaddy decided to take on the big boss) and you are powerful enough to complete the game.
I most likely made it sound boring as fuck. Honestly just watch an episode of a Let's Play or something for a better look or just emulate the game if you are willing.
It is a short but overall fun little enjoyable game. Something you would want to replay out of the fun of it all.
It actually correctly taught me about evolution as a kid. I was one of the dumb fucks that actually thought there was a dinosaur that jump off of a mountain enough times to grow wings. I was a little slow as a kid.
>>263259007
Ooooh shiiiit I remember this game.It was incredibly boring.
>>263236262

It's a great game too
You are now aware that there was an FPS based on Starship Troopers.

Your typical cover based shooter with a spin.
Bumerang type weapon you can freely control in the air.
Also, Rasputin in the story.
>>263255246

>>263261447
I've played all the GBA CT - Special Forces games. I loved the visuals.
>Ctrl + F Battle mages
>No results
I feel special.
When I was about 11, my parents tried to start limiting the time I could play on the PC we had because they thought I was becoming a shut in(I was). My 3 year old brother got this for christmas, so I'd use this as a segway to me getting on the computer and playing my own games.
>mfw I actually had a blast playing it
>>263261684
Pfff.
Played demo of it.
>>263260740
I was noting the similarity between OP's game cover and Thousand Year door. At a glance, at least.
>>263261769
No problem.
Man, the chopper segments and the parachute part was cool as hell.
Man this game was cool right though.
>>263261909
So did I, anon.
>>263261684
great game.
pic related as well (ST: Terran Ascendancy) - cool tactical RTS with loads of equipment options. features battlesuits which always gets me going.
both are annoyingly hard to get working on modern systems
>>263261839
Thanks. I might give it a try. Cover-based gameplay isn't exactly my thing, but I don't hate it either.
>>263261684

For example Gothic - when someone outside of very specific gamer circle mentions it you can fucking tell that he's Pole or German.

>>263263347
I liked it. It was like a more approachable (and predictable) version of those old Spy vs. Spy games.
>>263253885
The original is worth it if you can find it for under a tenner. If you have a console that's region locked to NTSC robo pit is only on Sega Saturn. However if you have a PAL console then pick it up
Or just emulate it
>>263263781
>version of those old Spy vs. Spy
No, just no.
Spy vs Spy - competitive game and NFH - memorizing game
>>263263630
i liked that game.

Im really sad it's one of those games that got forgotten. I thought it was pretty good. I'd kill for a remake of this today. This was Custom Robo's granddaddy yo
Pretty sure this was the first game that Games Workshop published.
If you like XCOM, you should emulate this; It was made by Gollop and plays like XCOM lite.
haven't played the N64 or PS1 versions, but did have the gameboy one
it was pretty frustrating, but not really too terrible.
>>263265031
They made a *game* based off of those things?
>>263251378
I still have this game. Despite how shitty I thought it was I still played it for hours - even getting to that ice temple on mars.
I remember going into the options and reading the manual looking for a way to turn on audio as in Starfox.
>>263265467
You act like shitty licensed games on ridiculous properties aren't a thing.
>>263265127
I remember it being a Lemmings-styled game where you have to secure a safe path for a bunch of those fucking things to the end of the level. You played as something I can only describe as something that looks like a cross between a garbage can, a submarine, and the vacuum cleaner from Teletubbies.
I was 9 and had nothing better to play at the time.
This game was fucking weird. I bought it thinking I was just going to run a pizza joint, and eventually ended up running an italian mafia using the pizza joint as a front.
