Just beat it with Peach and bubble your compadres. Make sure to have them grab the pole in the end, though. Repeat as necessary, depending on how many controllers you got.

I find Mario Bros U more frustrating in multiplayer than single player though, because of the daft way players collide and cause each others death constantly (as opposed to the way it works in Rayman)

3D World, as much as I love it, was piss easy until Champions Road. The last level.
New Super Mario Bros games are simple too, sure they've gotten more difficult each game, but not by much and they throw power ups at you so often.
Im not hating on them or anything, i love Mario, it just surprises me how much trouble some people have at the simplest parts.

the levels don't have much cohesion to one another. more like a series of obstacle courses. but they are all well designed and fun. some are really easy. some are just fun. some will try your patience and make you feel like an idiot for messing up.

This guy just doesn't know how to do anything but go full speed ahead, he keeps dying because he refuses to wait for the timing and just jumps right into every obstacle.
Look at the moving blocks right at the start, he keeps trying to bypass them instead of waiting for the blocks to move out of the way.
Look at the beep block parts, he doesn't even wait for them to change so he can make the right timing pattern, he just immediately jumps as soon as he's in range.
And then the Charging Chucks, he doesn't pay attention to where he's gonna land.
