I had a nightmare of them a couple of nights ago. There was a new character that kinda looked like a yeti, except with a very round body
Boring gameplay that doesn't really make a lot of sense. (keeping the doors shut uses more power than keeping them open?)
Too much shit done for convenience sake. (can't move or do anything, lights don't do shit, random teleportation)
And there's zero strategy involved.
An interesting premise that would have worked better as like, a creepypasta or something since the idea is cool enough. I liked the consequence of losing. It's not just like "oh they kill you," it's "they think you're one of them out of costume so they'll cram you into an extra suit so hard that all that's left is your eyes and teeth."
Chuck e Cheese's shit's always kinda terrifying but the ridiculous jump scares and no gameplay kinda ruins it.
Also, this faggot ruins anything that could be salvaged from it.
Alright game. Good atmosphere, nice use of resource management to create suspense, short and sweet. The inclusion of jump scares drags up the inevitable controversy of "any jump scares = bad horror. Always and forever." I disagree, but that's just my opinion man. You could do a lot worse for $5.
Also the huge hype it got for being August's FotM gaem generated the predictable backlash anti-hype.

I found that both Freddy's and Goat Simulator are pretty fun...for about half an hour. Freddy's gets a tad repetitive and you run out of stuff to see and do in Goat Simulator after not too long. They're both good games, just not in the long term.

Here's how the legacy of 5 Nights happened:
When /v/ discovered, almost everyone loved it. There was always a general thread filled with people making OC and inside jokes and figuring out the mechanics, all the while watching a few brave anons stream their attempts at the dreadful night 6.
Oh they were good times I say, so much laughter and cooperation... but we all knew they wouldn't last forever.
See, it was a combination of things that tuned the tide on ol' Freddy.
The first being that it was a horror game, and even though it had real gameplay other than walking and spooking, it was doomed to be gangraped by facecam shills of Youtube.
Now, this really doesn't affect the merits of the game in any way, until you think about the second aspect of Freddy's demise: /v/s culture.
Now, when Freddy was popular on /v/ it was still a very non publicized game, and therefore the shit posters didn't pick up on it because they were too busy rubbing their oversized clits to bane pics. But once Freddy started becoming the Internet's flavor of the week, the shit posters flocked to Freddy threads, spouting "OMG jumpscares xD" and similar unsubstantiated criticisms.
Finally, we have the finishing touch to the rape of Freddy Threads; that being the god damn furries.
With great OC, comes great responsibility, and since Freddy stars anthros (even if they are just ugly robots) it was only a matter of time before every character was overly sexualized while the scum of the Internet beat their little smokies.
That is how it happened. That is why the vocal majority doesn't like Freddy's. /v/ is a board full of faggots, and good things never stay for long here.

The game is scary when you go into it blind. It remains scary until about night 5.
After that you get used to the scares and you know when you've fucked up cause you notice all the que's. It's not a bad game and I like it for at least trying to shake up the horror genre a little bit. So kudos for that.
