My biggest gripe is nintendo always does this with their handhelds. They always improve them mid handheld generation instead of waiting a few years and giving really big updates that warrant a buy. The system is a clamshell; they could have easily made two fully-functioning analogs like the PSV and even then the analogs wouldn't ever have a chance of getting damaged in a pocket. Other than that, I love the new design. I might get one if a game like Pokemon is announced as 3DS2-exclusive

There's only one problem with the New 3DS and that's the upgraded hardware just to give it exclusive games so that you need to buy a new fucking 3DS in order to play them. The Circle Pad nipple that is added and the better 3D effect is completely optional and if a game absolutely requires the circle pad you can buy the accessory for the old 3DS. New processor and GPU for exclusive games? You can't just buy a circle pad-esque accessory for that.
The biggest problem here is if other manufacturers sees that Nintendo jews out like this and decides that it was a damn good idea and that they can scam their PS4 or One users with a "Slim" version with upgraded hardware. It's quite disgusting actually.

It isn't a fuck you because people who own a 3DS will be able to play most of the games coming out in the future as well, codename: S.T.E.A.M is a 3DS title, Final Fantasy Explorers is and so on.
So far the only reason we have a New 3DS exclusive is because it's a title the original 3DS can't play.
