How do we maximize sales? Make "gamer" a more friendly term instead of a negative one, make actual gamers look bad so that people can appear better through the superiority complex of "I'm a gamer but I'm not THAT type of gamer" after that you make more games like gone home which can be made in a week with a dedicated team. Then you just pay all the journalists to say good things about it, casuals don't know any better they'll eat up the garbage and think it's great because they don't like anything more. Look at FarmVille and candy crush saga, they're looking for that audience to get into the other mediums to maximize sales for them, not just King and Zynga. So they, and I, see this as the best chance to try and restore gaming to something fun, and get rid of the toxic new community that has formed.
