I think the same, just a bunch of kids who love to perform surprise attacks on unexpecting players wearing the same faction label. Guy's i've been looking for this one multiplayer game for fucking ever.
I played it a shit ton in my childhood but i completely forgot what it was called. It was considered to be an mmo but looking back it really wasn't one.
You had 4 characters to choose from, a burly barbarian type that had very good grappling moves, a swordsman, an archer and a mage that could poop out little balls that rolled everywhere and exploded, looked like Vivi from FF.
It was a 3rd person multiplayer team coop / deathmatch / DM / etc room based game. You could buy new gear for your guy or make his moves better. At the time it was pretty amazing since the game controlled quite well, had a PvE element as well which was a blast. The multiplayer maps were quite complicated so you could use the terrain for your advantage quite often. The grappling moves were something i was really fond of as well.

I was also one of the highest level players in Eudemons online. Good times.
I fucking loved Lunia. It had fun characters with beat em up style gameplay and crazy combos. Shit was great. When all the servers went down, the original creators tried to keep it alive and hosted their own server, giving out free cash shop money every couple of weeks. Sadly, they couldn't maintain it any longer and shut it down earlier this year.

I restarted it about 5 times. Three times out of those, I got overtaken by some huge alien civilization over night and raged my shit off. Twice, I just got bored of grinding techs up and let everything decay. About a year ago I accidentally became the leader of one of the big game factions (the LYNXOR or something like that), but that wasn't any fun.
It's sad that Haxus suspended the project, though I imagine the code was such a mess that it would take less effort to start from scratch rather than fix all the mistakes.
