You don't get it, the face buttons are positioned in such a way that a thumb tilt allows for a button press, rather than a lift. It's more ergonomic and allows for quicker action in my opinion. However the c stick does suck, and the d-pad is rancid as well. Analog stick is comfy though.

The newer models(F310 and so on) are absolutely horrible though. R2/L2 were made into fucking triggers instead of just being buttons, and they changed the shape of the controller because of this. Now it's incredibly uncomfortable to press R2/L2 especially for longer periods of time and also if you need to be fast at it. The only advantage the newer models have over the old one is the switch for DirectInput and XInput.

I've recently been playing Twilight Princess because I never touched it when it first came out because I just assumed it would be broken as fuck with the Wii controler and now I'm thinking about getting a Wii U soon, so I wanted to get back into the swing of it and TBH; the Wii controller isn't actually that bad.
