Alright, I'm going to spill some beans here. I know the guy that "found" the video. He sent it to a few mutual friends who leaked it on here, gamefaqs and smashboards. The video is a "content compilation" video for the ESRB. Its set up kind of like a trailer, showing the title screen, opening scene, internal menus, character selection, and anything that could be deemed offensive like trophy sources, certain moves or characters, audio clips, etc. From what I've seen, each of the images leaked are from that video, especially the Shulk battle scene because I remember it. It shows a full battle and pauses to discuss the way certain moves work and to show that the violence in the game is "comical" instead of graphic. The scene that shows a cycle of characters is from the title screen intro and the actual character selection screen isn't of a fully unlocked roster as several other characters are shown later on in the video, including yes, Ridley. He was shown in the "frightening images" section alongside Meta Knight and Bowser relating to their final smashes. Duck Hunt was shown playable in a separate scene in which he wields the duck like a rifle and fires projectiles with it. Mewtwo was also there at some point, but I don't recall the content area. I don't remember any other new characters but I will gladly answer some questions if I can. I expect the video itself will leak very soon as quite a few people have access to it by now.

In every smash bros game, the characters have been organized by series so that if a series has more than 1 rep, every character from it is bordering another character from that series.
In this "leak," we've got Dark Pit and Lucina completely separated from their series', and Yoshi (who had always been treated as a rep from the Yoshi series, not the Mario series) is lumped in with Mario characters. Also, Dr. Mario would probably be with the Mario series as well.
