It's useful as fuck for maxing out shit like Managers early on so you can get the Mana needed for shit.

Multiple evilities for generics allow for more customization. For example, the new heavy knight with the defender evility will tank regardless of distance. Magic Knights have an evility that let them deal 100% more damage iff they exploit the enemy's elemental weakness, etc...
It also introduced promoting so no need to reincarnate to use a higher class tier and tons of little details like that.
Some people are mad you no longer need to do cryptic bullshit to access the land of carnage or how rarity is gone, that kind of shit. Personally, I prefer it this way, legendaries are legendaries, rares are rare and commons common. We all know people are going to reset if they don't find their perfect rarity 0 item anyway, if anything it saves time.

if you're trying to strengthen an item, don't bother fighting, you're just sinking endless hours into the game. Get an item world runner: all shoes, boost movement however you can, and be a mothman or whichever race that passes through enemies. Run straight for the gates.
Spam long-range magic or use fist specials to get the gatekeepers off.

the endings are still reliant on ally kills, but some require a certain number of felonies to be on Adell(not pardoned)

I haven't played 2 in a while but I still remember some things.
Make sure to have a thief on you with something like a gun (something that gives them a good hit stat); they're pretty much invaluable for stealing good shit especially when you want to get the highest tier of weapons, because you can only steal them from the boss in the 100th floor in the item world
Get some heavy knights if you're lazy, you can use them and just throw your way to then end of an item world level in like, one turn only.
I think if you hold down triangle after selecting an attack and before you move the unit, you can move the character around and it shows what enemies it will hit, although I can't really remember that well.
Try getting specialists and getting felonies, because they make grinding A LOT easier and faster, in Disgaea 3 I can get any character to level 9999 in a few minutes with specialists

I don't think so, apart from the annoying stamp thingy. I think felonies cap at 200, but the sticker only goes up to 99 so its annoying to tell how much you have.

you need 33/66/99 felonies on one character to trigger some postgame bills.
Getting 300 Felonies total on one character grants you 400% of your regular EXP gains, which is where it maxes out. Makes grinding them faster when you're working reincarnating your postgame squad for max stats.
Also having certain numbers of felonies active on Adell is a requirement for several of the bad endings.
