I get a few gigabytes a month and after that, pic related happens and I can't access practically anything but basic HTML websites. No youtube, torrents, or any kind of download over around a fourth of a megabyte.

Hughes used to have daily limits, they've gotten better in the last 2 years or so, but getting 2x better is worthless when they still need to get 100x better to even compete with a standard broadband connection.
Verizon is the main cell provider out in da cuntry where people get satellite shit. Verizon has a ton of bullshit rules and fees if you want to use your phone's built-in tethering mode. You can get a 3G card and a phone line for the purpose of internet, but gone are the days where you could get unlimited data, IIRC you can only get 2-50GB per month at $25-$180 per month.

I have one of the old unlimited lines at $30/month, and regularly use +150GB/month, DL and UL are normally 100KB/s and 80KB/s, respectively.

Tangentially involved here. We signed away the town to Time Warner because they were the only ones willing to run anything at all. Teksavvy's capped package only charges you past the cap up to the price of an unlimited package then stops.

There's literally no reason to buy the more expensive unlimited package. Worst case scenario you go over and pay the unlimited package price, but on the months you don't go over, it'll be the cheaper 300GB price.

Win/win

Also, Teksavvy doesn't count any bandwidth between 2 and 8 am, so if you're often doing shit late at night, you'll likely never hit your cap.

The plan was to freeze his assets so he couldnt afford lawyers to defend him at his extradition trial. What happened was that heaps of lawyers did work for free and after a bit of digging it turned out that the charge against him in the US was actually a made up charge becase there isnt technically anything illegal under the then current US law which he did.

Because extradition laws here in NZ prohibit people being sent to foreign countries if they are likely to face an unfair trial hes probably going to stay here in NZ along with his two friends who are also on trial for the same thing.

I have Charter in St. Louis and their customer support never fails to rectify things, but I do have a few complaints.

- At my old place, the wire that came down from the line into my house had been corroded and I got shit tier internet. Play WoW for 30 seconds, lag spike, disconnect. Wash rinse repeat. They told me to buy a new modem, so I did. That did not fix anything. It took months, but eventually got a guy to come out and check my signal in person and he instantly fixed the issue.
- My internet has gone down in my new place (apartment complex) because they came out and meant to shut someone else off but wound up shutting down the whole apt complex instead.
- I don't /quite/ get advertised speeds. It's still very fast.

It means it's a clean dump of the original game data. Back in the old days (early 90s, when these systems were still in use) ROM dumps would frequently have an "intro" attached from the group that provided them - especially if they had to crack some copy-protection.
