It was actually the type of monitor they were trying to use. It wasn't compatible with Super FX chip games and glitches up when trying to display them. Nobody at the store knew that.
Some of my favorite eps have been Tokimeki Memorial, Actraiser, Clocktower, Flashback, Golgo 13, 53Stations of the Tokaido, and Hokkaido Serial Killer.

Only small bits of a couple newer games in the first season when the show was largely developer interviews. The newest games after that season have been a few N64 and PS1 games.

The thing about a lot of platforming games is the characters often have momentum. You'll often need to hold a direction for a moment or two to get your character to full speed. Arino takes forever to get the hang of that and the micro jumping adjustments that are needed to not suck. Some people just aren't good at those games.
