So how about this theory.

Guard finally gets rekt by Freddy on day 5, gets put into one of the suits, the suit records the messages for the player to listen to, Freddy caught wind of this and "hollowed" out the suit, which is why it's empty.
And that's about it, but I think a bit of a stretch would be that the four females he married all had the same names as the animatrons. Thoughts?
