depends on you man. It's pretty objective. daS and DeS are amazing to me, but DaS2 was just okay to me. The DLC helped me like it a bit more since the new area was pretty interesting. Sorry about DeS being sorta dead. I got summoned as the old monk boss twice the other day and I got summoned to help someone for the flamelurker too. I was around soul level 70 though so that might be the reason. It hurts me when people didn't get to play DeS in its prime. It was amazing.

The Souls community has an insanely elitist attitude at times. We'll ignore the people who are super serious about PvP, because honestly the netcode alone should make most people realize it's a waste of time to try to be "good" at it(it's fun, and sure you can be decent at it, but you have to take it with a grain of salt which a lot of players don't).
That, and there's just a lot of in-fighting. People who claim one game is better than the other. I find all Souls games to be fun in their own ways, and don't really care to argue the point. That doesn't bother me, really. Souls games are just really fun and interesting, with the difficulty being blown way out of proportion. I had a friend who I showed some Souls games too and he assumed we'd be torturing ourselves with it, but after a while of playing he was just having fun.
