Among the Mario fandom the worst she has is being used a lot in Mario Kart and people getting annoyed with seeing her online a lot the same way they did with Funky in MKWii or Metal Mario in MK7, even though she isn't being used due to having better stats than the rest like the others. I think that was just a MK8 thing. She's perfect in Golf and Smash has her down too from what I've seen. It might've been in reference to 3D World where she was more jolly but that was just how that game was, and even then she was still more restrained in her voice than everyone else, so I think the MK team just fucked up.

I made up a concept the other day. Called it "Waluigi's Apartment". It involved puzzle solving, platforming, and fighting cockroaches and other bad guys based on pests. The plot starts with Waluigi freaking out over why his utilities are so high. Then he finds out the pests are using his crap! So he asks his buddy Wario to get a shrink ray, so that Waluigi can get to the bottom of the problem: The Roach King! (Plot twist: Roach King is also Waluigi's unknown Landlord!)
It's a little stupid, and it stemmed from each character having a "World" or "Land" etc. in the title.

And I do agree the Smash fanbase can be a bit tad annoying at times. I don't get why they complain about characters. What's the point of it? If you don't like the character, move on and do something else. You're not going to convince anyone to depart from that character if that's what you're trying to achieve. And besides, Sakurai has already added those said characters in Smash in the early phases of development. Its pointless to complain. I'm in the same boat as you though. Only places I've seen any hate for her were some threads on /v/ and some shitty Smash Bros forums that I get linked to or visit when I'm bored. Prior to Smash, there was never any real hate for her that I saw. At best people seemed to love her, at worst they were indifferent. I swear, right when the trailer for her happened back in December was the first time I ever saw people throwing shit at her, which is funny since the last thing I remember before that was people being happy with her being in 3D World.
