Also got a Mixamp for virtual surround sound with my PS3. Works wonders on games like MGS4.

sure, you dont need graphics, if the mechanics are good, but Its nice to have. Especially if you listen to music too with your headphones.

>>256332585
yes, true, but it can ruin the fun, if you also listen to music with them. Soundstage is makes or breaks good live recordings

>>256332713
I am not talking about the simulated-tacticool-7.1-soundstage in shitty headsets, but the differentiation you get with good open headphones. sure, you might not NEED them for your flat-mixed vidya music, but vidya-only headphones with wich you dont listen to music too are really pointless. and like I said, for music and live recordings you do want a clear soundstage
>>

Had a headset before but it broke so I just got a seperate cheap microphone and got myself a rather cheap headphone.

After boosting the bass a bit and lowering the treble some I am really happy with them, way better then those fucking headsets that were even more expensive.

Can anyone recommend headphones that compare to the 7.1 headsets?

I have tried all of these shitty stereo headphones and they sound barely any better than beats.

Something with decent bass, crisp highs and low mids?
>>
>>256335257
I prefer a closed system. No sound leaking out, no sound leaking in. Plus, it's much less space, cheaper for the same quality, and the only thing I really miss out on is true surround sound, and headphones can give a close enough imitation.

Plus, portability is nice.

the cords are twisted up in a weird way. my friend said its fixable though im not sure how.

the left ear piece sometimes stops "transmitting" sound (quotation because i dont know what word i should use) randomly or from moving my head one way or the other, or moving the cord

And the right ear piece had fallen off. i can kind of stick its parts back into the headband thing but i have to do it everytime i put them on

the ear pad things (sorry its late and i cant think right) are worn and dirty and theres no place to buy replacements

Depends what you use 'em with.

I'm console gaymer moving to PC soon. I was using this setup paired with the mixamp and the mixamp hates 3rd party mics; makes them all sound quiet. From what my firends tell me, it was the best out of four that I had though.

On PC, there's no problem.

dumpster diving is actually a great way to get free food and items for that matter.

Food places especially due to how "safe" they have to be with leftovers. At the end of the night at any restaurant you'll find tons of uneaten food that had to be thrown out just because it was left out too long to be be considered safe by the health and food agencies
