So where's all the creepy shit in this Worlds game I was promised?
Am I not looking in the right places?
>>255661765
If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be playing.
But just because you'll probably shitpost like a baby if someone doesn't help you,
Its all randomly made user content. You have to just keep going deeper and into older stuff. Preferably bringing back stories and pictures with you.
w...what is this?
some dark/edgy place like deepweb?
What should one expect when they start this up and go to a random place? I'm afraid to try it out
I tried with a friend, we couldn't find much and we got bored pretty quick so we stopped
However, before logging out, I lost sight of him and when I found him again he had turned into this creature, but only on my screen for some reason, he was still fine on his
I don't know what the hell is up with this game
>>255661951
>But just because you'll probably shitpost like a baby if someone doesn't help you,
Who cares, it would be contained in the thread.
>>255662317
You should be afraid if you're an idiot that'll likely just end up getting a virus, like many have trying to get worlds.
Fair warning, buddeh. Now no one is allowed to cry about getting another virus itt.
>>255661951
Well, the only outlet into the custom worlds I know of is this "travel" area I was directed to in last night's thread. All I can do is click all these links on the walls and I haven't really found anything too crazy in them.
>>255662124
It's essentially an abandoned late 90's version of Second Life.
It's not really creepy, just weird as hell.
Sort of like an abandoned amusement park.
>>255662376
>the thread.
I think he was trying to prevent several threads about it.
okay well this is a step in the right direction
>>255662685
Man, that gives me a lot of ideas for game atmospheres.
What's the game called?
nexialist once teleported me and my pal into a room where there were skeletons and spooky scary skeletons played in the background
is he still around?
there are some weird ass games out there
>>255663273
Worlds.com / WorldsPlayer
It's an old 90s chatroom where people can make their own worlds.
Lot's of it is just fucking bizzare.
I wish there were more lo-poly exploration games like this.
Is this like a really crap version of Second Life?
Second Life looks better than this shit
>>255663446
What a coincidence, anon
Look what I just stumbled into
>>255663539
This?
http://www.worlds.com/player.html
And the screenshots people post are just random worlds they stumbled across?
>>255663878
shit, the room i remember was orange but might have been it
>>255663947
I think that might work.
I downloaded my version from
http://www.worlds.com/download.html
>>255663732
>second life looks better than a game made in the 90s
You don't say.
>>255663947
Yep, this is what happens when you give people the freedom to make anything.
>>255663732
WELL GEE, I WONDER WHY NOONE ELSE PLAYS THIS GAME
Fucking /v/
g-guys
So can pretty much anyone add images and text to a world?
Something about the early 3D gives it a weird atmosphere I find.
It's all there, in the numbers.
>>255665378
I love the weird aesthetic of it, reminds me of how creeped out I was by games like Kings Field and Quest 64
>another Worlds thread
LSDs welcome?

Oh boy. I tried streaming it last night, but it was pretty awful on my part. Trying to improve it.
>>255667148thanks
>>255667151
Your mic was too quiet
>>255665378
low-res 3D is one of the best artstyles a game can use to look kind of strange/scary
its a shame that companies dont use it anymore
So are all the people using 3D avatars actually paying monthly for this?
>>255667846
Everyone is a VIP now I think
>>255667846
no, you can win a year of vip by playing trivia on friday and saturday nights
>>255665103
you can make your own world
>>255667407
Apparently people want the mic. It should be fixed, no complaints earlier. However, I'm not able to stream just my emulator window. So I'm having to stream the desktop and show both the game and the twitch chat.
Scottish anime catgirls.
Alrighty.
Can anyone help me get this working? I followed this guide pastebin com cDCjScqN and while the process is showing in the task manager nothing is happening. I'm on windows 7

Try this version.
>>255668725
Is that some Nava Shield?
who wants to meet and explore?

no :o)
>>255668725

So there's no moderators there either, right? Why isn't pedophilia rampant?
I thought content creation+no oversight=kiddyfucking every time.
>>255669363
there are moderators
>>255669363
anon im sure these are repectable people
>despite your best efforts people still think there's something spooky about worlds and that its not just a place filled with tumblrfags and baby boomers
fine
whatever
done
>>255669451
>moderating a deserted game, presumably for free
That's some next-level dedication.
>>255670104
There are a handfull of real old timers that hang around in the spawn.
Also someone is paying for the servers too.
some of the places are actually pretty comfy
That Nexialist guy is the biggest mystery though. That Journal with the guy who went exploring and managed to talk with some other guy who had been there longer was crazy, all the stuff he showed him and how nexialist pretty much never speaks but somehow can teleport you to lots of hidden rooms the guy thought he was some sort of keyskeeper.
gonna download this for the first time, try to get it to work and wander around, any anons here want to be my guide?
>>255671376
I'm up for some exploration, been over a year since I last played
If you want creepy areas start talking shit about Nexialist, the neckbears should sperg out on you
>>255671717
i can't get the .exe file to open, it's installed and i see it on my processes but it won't run. i tried switching out of aero scheme (win7) but that did nothing. any ideas?
>>255672105
are you running as administrator?
>>255672105
i think it was a virus u dled
>>255672251
yeah. i've been reading maybe i need to do something with java?
>>255672267
no, my antivirus and firewall would've flipped out.
>>255664284

i just want to play a relic of the internet computer come on
>>255674148
Do you have Java 6?
>>255663446
Apparently he threw a hissyfit on /v/ and left? I'm not sure, somebody else will have to clarify.

I'm gonna stream LSD in a little over 2 hours, after I watch some Seinfeld. I think I got the stream audio and video the way I like it, finally.
I hope people here for Worlds don't find me intrusive. I just figure that they're in somewhat of the same vein.
>>255674392
alright, that did nothing. same error. damn
>>255676218
nigga steam now this thread will be gone in that length of time
and then youll get banned for advertising when you make a new thread
>>255676976
I ain't gonna make these threads. I'll wait for them to occur and pounce. I'm sure it will be up in 2 hours, the last thread seemed to last a decent amount of time. Unless demand is unrealistically high.
I admittedly feel bad, because I'm on PST. You guys are probably gonna be up late, or already are up late.
>>255677515
>Unless demand is unrealistically high.
I failed to say this relates to me playing sooner. If a lot of folks want it now, I'll do it.
>>255677515
You could always post something on /x/'s videogame thread.
That means going on /x/ though.
>>255675886
can we have a worldsmark for that?
>>255677676
Do not go on /x/, fuck those tulpa and demon summoning fags
If the thread lasts then it was meant to be, I suppose
Good luck anon, I look forward to your stream since LSD is an extremely interesting gameI recall there being a rumor of a remake/sequel or something for PS3/PSP, but I never found the source after I read the article
>>255678632
it's not online anymore

fun times

Why do the regulars still play this fucking thing?

Keep checking random worlds. I hear there's still some ultra ascended wizards who still play this game and randomly show up sometimes when new people enter the server.
>>255683996
why would you wanna stream lsd
just meet us on worlds and stream that instead
>>255683996
I'm joining. I love LSD Dream Emulator and watching a stream of it with /v/ could be insanely fun.
Where are we meeting?

But they've been there for 20 years.

how is worlds even surviving right now? What happened to the devs?

i don't know.
I just searched their corporate address, all I see are a bunch of houses.maybe I'll call their corporate number tomorrow
