When I saw them announcing Nintendo Land, I was shocked by the description. I don't remember the words, but it was basically "Imagine a Nintendo theme park...well, here's a GAME of one!"
I was on the edge of my seat until they revealed it was a game. It's a great game, but an ACTUAL Nintendo Land would melt my brain. Damn it Nintendo, please make a theme park. They have mascots that are more publicly recognizable than Disney. They have opened "themepark-like" attractions to promote different game launches. If they made a theme park, they would make too much money.
In all likelihood such a thing would only exist in Japan with absolutely no intention of bringing anything like it overseas.

Pokemon is big enough to be its own park. I had an idea for a slow ride attraction like the Epcot ball that would go through all the Pokemon types.
Actually, now that I think about it, a Pokemon park could be a combination of Animal Kingdom and Epcot. You could have a sort oh hologram Poekmon zoo, a Pokemon Snap attraction, and the world section of Epcot could have stores from all the known regions.

Admit it, it's true. All of these ideas are nice, but they're ultimately one-off gimmicks. You'd do it once, have your fill, "man that was awesome" and proceed to never even think about it again. A themepark in this day and age is a sure-fire way to lose money.

Paramount is building a theme park in Spain with an entire wild west world dedicated to the animated film Rango. A fine film, but a theme park with Nintendo IPs would be just as possible.
Hell, Universal Studios Orlando just added on a big Harry Potter area, and disney is making Avatar world in Animal Kingdom. Established IPs are the way to go.
